Metro Media Group is a marketing and media firm focused on collecting data, identifying market opportunities, and telling the stories of communities and market segments that are often overlooked. We tell their stories and create greater visibility for Black residents, businesses, and organizations throughout Metro San Antonio.
What gets measured can be understood.
What is understood can be communicated.
What is communicated can create meaningful action.
Who We Are
Metro Media Group (“Metro”) is a data-driven marketing organization. We compile and analyze data to advance the interests of the communities we serve. By increasing visibility for Black residents, we help elected officials, neighborhoods, and all stakeholders stay aligned on the intended outcomes of public projects.
When a public project goes unfinished, the money already invested in it is wasted. This often happens when an election changes a community’s representative and the new official’s priorities differ from the last. Metro engages neighborhoods directly so that every project has a dedicated advocate, such as a community manager, who pushes for its completion.
Completion doesn’t always mean finishing within a single funding cycle, and that is a major reason projects stall. Changes in leadership add to the problem, because each official’s priorities can disrupt a project’s continuity and leave it unfinished.

Metro tracks projects started through completion, and shares that data with government, businesses, organizations, and institutions across Metro San Antonio.
Turning information into visibility, connection, and opportunity.
Metro Media Group develops data, media, and community initiatives designed to better inform, connect, and document the Black community across Metro San Antonio.
Our work includes community data and research, digital media, storytelling, community planning, business visibility, and tools that help connect residents, organizations, and businesses.

Reports & Research
Metro has compiled a Community Data Dashboard, providing a statistical foundation for understanding our community and helping identify opportunities, needs, trends, and areas requiring greater attention. That data-driven approach also contributed to the development of the Juneteenth Community 2030 Plan.

Building Continuity
Metro will strongly support the work of the MLK Commission, DreamWeek San Antonio, and efforts to make Black History Month in San Antonio something truly special.
But we want to do more than participate. We want to help build continuity.
Too often, communities begin important projects, generate excitement, and then move on to the next idea before the first one has reached its full potential. Metro believes in a different approach:
- Stay focused
- Keep projects on schedule
- Finish what we start
- Bring projects to fruition
- Then move forward
We hope community members, organizations, businesses, and our elected officials will join us in creating the continuity our community needs. Our elected officials have an important role to play, and we hope they will work alongside the community to ensure that every corner of the Black community is heard, represented, and included.
The Future Is Ours to Build
Metro Media Group is just getting started. We intend to use data to inform, media to tell our stories, marketing to create visibility, and partnerships to create opportunity.
The goal is simple: a better-informed, better-connected, more visible, and more economically empowered Black community in Metro San Antonio.
